Team PKS Opens Season at Region 7 Buttonwillow
It was certainly a short winter break as Team PKS set out to run the first round of the IKF Region 7 Series at Buttonwillow Raceway on January 8-10th. The weather was cold and wet with Tule fog most of the weekend making for wet slippery conditions. Team PKS brought home two wins, three second place finishes and eleven top fives. New comer Bradley Espinoza scored his first IKF win in Yamaha Pipe and Kolby Araki took down the KPV4 Senior field in dominating fashion on Sunday. Junior driver Jason Hannegan posted three second place finishes as well as a top five to cap his weekend. All in all, the team had a great weekend and will be looking forward to round 2 in Phoenix. Team manager, Glenn Araki would like to thank the entire team for all their hard work. Also thanks to all the families especially Mike Mankin for the great meals all weekend.

Team PKS Ends Season at Santa Maria
Team PKS had a great weekend at the last Region 7 IKF race in Santa Maria this past weekend. Brennen Mankin was the highlight of the weekend by winning the HPV 1 Championship. All he needed was to start the main event to clinch the championship. Friday practice was busy as always and we ended the day at Jocko's Steak House to relax and have some fun. Racing was great with Kolby Araki dominating the PRD senior class and Justin Mankin bringing home 2 trophies in Kidkart. Zane Smith and Wyatt May ran up front all weekend and new teammate Bradley Espinoza finished well in his first IKF race. It was good to have Kyle Blum back at the IKF race as he ran great in his classes. Glenn Araki would like to thank everyone for there continued support and hard work throughout the season and wish all of you a safe and happy holiday.
PKS Kart Supplies is located in Fresno, California just
east of the Fresno - Yosemite Airport. Nob and Terrie Araki purchased
PKS in 1983 and have been in the karting business since the late 1950’s. In
2003, middle son, Glenn took over as owner and operator of PKS and has
quickly become one of the largest kart shops in the Western United States.
PKS Kart Supplies is now a full service kart shop with engine services, kart
products and customer support. Team PKS can be found at most karting
events throughout the United States. Stop by and see what’s new in karting.

The Araki Family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts, support, flowers, food, and gifts during the past couple of weeks. Nob will certainly be missed by the racing community and the huge support and attendance at his memorial service confirms just that. Thanks again.
